Results of the Over 35's football tournament on Sunday 17th June 2012 at Kineton sports and Social Club
Never mind
Euro 2012, all the drama was there on the pitches of Kineton Sports and Social
club at the Edgehill Games Over 35’s football tournament. Fifteen teams battled it out on the field to see
who would win Edgehill Gold.
Two leagues
were played with the top two teams from each league going into the semi-finals.
After the leagues Warmington Arthritic, Edgehill Cosmos, Daventry Villa Vets
and Southam were through to the semis, but over 4 hours of gruelling football
was not without its casualties and Warmington Arthritic lived up to their name
and had to retire due to injury decimating their squad. Kineton and Southam were knocked out in the semi-finals
setting up a great final match between Daventry Villa Vets and Edgehill Cosmos.

In the end after
a hard fought final:
Edgehill Gold (and the football trophy) went to
Daventry Villa Vets .
Silver went to
Edgehill
Cosmos
