Results of the Hockey Tournament on 16th June 2012 at Kineton High School

Two teams met on the all weather pitch at Kineton High School to see which would be crowned as the Edgehill Games Champion.  One team was formed with members from Kineton and Radway (representing Kineway or Radton??) and the other had travelled from the far north (all the way from St Paul's Leamington Priors) drawn by the lure of Edgehill Gold.

The match was decided by playing three games and it was a close fought contest.  In the first game Kineway (or Radton) took the lead early on and held on to it to go one up in the match.  However, in the second game St Paul's fought back to make it one game all.

It all came down to the final match.  Both teams worked hard with bloodied knees and pulled hamstrings by the end of the match, and in the end St Paul's prevailed.

Gold Medalists:
St Paul's Leamington Priors

Silver Medalists:
Radton (or Kineway)

Well done to everyone that took part and thank you to Peter Wallis for helping with the refereeing.  A big thank you also to Andrew Jeffrey for organizing the event and to Kineton High School and to Colin Naismith and Jo Rolls of Get Me Into for hosting it.
